A social media video dubbed “Mbare Dream Girls”-an emotional heartbreaking and inspirational tale of Zimbabwean Women Netball World Cup Team which was circulated by Pasit Media highlighting their sad plight poured a galore of emotions and sympathy across all social media streets
The team is made up of girls from different backgrounds united by the Love for their country. Captain Chitima narrated their sad faiytale of how they jogged and walked to St Peters for training.
In the videos-the girls mention their role models notably including Tsitsi Masiyiwa,Mavis Mataranyika, businessman Frank Buyanga and Ruth Makandiwa.This is the first time the girls have qualified.
All in All 16 Teams qualified for the Liverpool Netball World Cup among them Sri Lanka,Singapore and Zambia.
In the end,some of the girls role models came through including Mavis Mataranyika,Tsitsi Masiyiwa and Serial businessman Mr Frank Buyanga came to their rescue and the government through the Ministry of Sports,Arts and Culture eventually came through to support.Taking to her Twitter Minister Kirsty stated.
The tournament will be held from 12–21 July 2019 at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England.
