The Zimbabwe Gem’s star continues to be on the rise with the social media streets going on a freeze with excitement and great pride after they beat eighth-placed Northern Ireland 51-49 in Group A at the Vitality Netball World Cup at the M&S Arena in Liverpool, England yesterday.
Zimbabwe-ranked 14th on the International Netball Federation rankings, finished second in Group A and qualified for the next round after recording their second win in the World Cup. The Gems qualify for the next stage with group leaders and defending champions Australia, who won all three of their games, as well as Northern Ireland. Zimbabwe now move into Group F with Malawi, New Zealand, Barbados, Australia and Northern Ireland.
